Andrew Lynn
Camp Director

Andrew Lynn has served as band director at Stewarts Creek Middle School in Smyrna, Tennessee since the school opened in 2006. The SCMS Band has performed for the Tennessee Music Education Association convention two times and been recognized with multiple Tennessee Bandmasters Association Sweepstakes Awards and American School Band Directors Association Awards of Distinction. The program is consistently one of the best represented in the All-Midstate and Rutherford All-County Bands. Prior to his time in Rutherford County, Lynn taught grades six through twelve in Coffee and Bedford Counties.

Lynn currently serves as the State Chair for the Tennessee Chapter of the American School Band Directors Association. He has been an executive board member for the Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association and is the chairperson for the All-Midstate Middle School Jazz Band. He is a member of Phi Beta Mu honorary music fraternity, has been awarded Citations of Excellence from the National Band Association, and has been named a Music Teacher of Excellence by the Country Music Association Foundation.

Lynn graduated from Tennessee Technological University where he studied tuba with R. Winston Morris. For thirteen years, he performed as the tubist for the Capitol Brass Quintet. He resides in Smyrna, Tennessee with his wife Beth, an elementary music educator, and his seventeen-year-old son and trombone player, Carter. Lynn is a member of Northside Baptist Church in Murfreesboro where he serves in the church orchestra.

Beth Lynn
JAMMED Director

Beth Lynn is music specialist at Walter Hill Elementary School. Her students, pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, have enjoyed numerous opportunities for learning and creating music with the help of various Orff percussion instruments, Strumsticks, and the Quaver curriculum. Students also enjoy preparing and performing musicals throughout the year. At Walter Hill Elementary, she leads an afterschool group made up of third, fourth, and fifth graders called The Humming Hornets.

Mrs. Lynn is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and has also taught music in the Marshall County and Bedford County schools.

Mrs. Lynn resides in Smyrna with her husband Andrew, son named Carter, and their Boston terrier named Mabel. She is a member of Northside Baptist Church in Murfreesboro where she sings in the church choir and has served as a member of the worship ministry leadership team.

Beth Davis
Flute

Bethany Joy Davis has a passion for the flute and for teaching music. Mrs. Davis studied flute with Deniece Schow, Cleveland,TN, Roger Martin at TN Tech University, and Carolyn Treybig at Belmont University, earning a Bachelor of Music Education in Vocal and Instrumental Music from TN Tech University and a Master of Music from Belmont University. Ms. Davis was the principal flutist for the Monterrey, Mexico City Symphony in 1999. She is the band director for Mt. Juliet Christian Academy in TN, performs C & alto flutes/piccolo/saxophone with the Nashville Praise Symphony, and performs alto saxophone with the Jazz Alliance in Mt. Juliet. Ms. Davis recently presented her Master of Music Thesis Throatscope Study at the 2013 National Flute Association Convention. She is an active member of MTSBOA and the National Flute Association.

Caroline Jackle
Clarinet/Woodwinds

Caroline Jackle is the band director at Station Camp Middle School and is a professional clarinetist and private teacher in the Middle Tennessee area. Her middle school students perform in concert band, pep band, and jazz band settings, and many have performed in a variety of honor band clinics including the Tennessee Mid-State Honor Band, Sumner All-County Honor Band, and University of Tennessee Martin Honor Band.

As a clarinetist, Caroline has performed throughout the southeast United States and in Ostend, Belgium in various capacities. Currently, she freelances throughout the greater Nashville area, and performs with the Middle Tennessee Sinfonietta. As a private lessons teacher, she instructs clarinet students of all ages, and has held private studios in Florida and Tennessee.

Caroline holds a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Tennessee Tech University. Her primary teachers are Deborah Bish, Jonathan Holden, Mark J. Cramer, Jacqueline Eichhorn, and Wonkak Kim.

Blake Ward
Saxophone

Blake Ward serves as Assistant Band Director at Siegel High School. Prior to his appointment at Siegel, he began his teaching career as Band Director at Loganville Middle School in Loganville, GA and Greenbrier Middle School in Greenbrier, TN. Mr. Ward is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University, where he graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at Tennessee Tech, he served as the Drum Major of the Golden Eagle Marching Band for two years and performed as a saxophonist in all of the top concert and jazz ensembles, as well as the 2014 Tennessee MTNA Champion Saxophone Quartet, the Phil Barham Quartet. In addition to his collegiate performance experience, Mr. Ward performed in the summers of 2014 and 2015 with the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps on mellophone. Mr. Ward holds professional membership in the Middle Tennessee State Band & Orchestra Association (MTSBOA), the Tennessee Music Educators Association (TMEA), and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Mr. Ward and his wife, Savannah were married in April 2020 and live in Murfreesboro with their son, Clark and silver lab, Rosie.

Rebecca Lowry
Brass/Full Band

A graduate of MTSU, Rebecca Lowry most recently served as the Director of Bands at Mill Creek Middle School in Nolensville, TN. Prior to MCMS she taught at Donelson Middle School in Nashville, TN. Rebecca's ensembles have consistently earned Superior ratings at Concert Performance Assessment, and she is a frequent presenter of professional development clinics throughout the state. Rebecca was a 2016 Williamson County Successory Teacher, and is a current member of MTSBOA, TBA, TMEA, NAfME, Delta Omicron, and Pi Kappa Lamda. She currently resides in Murfreesboro, TN with her husband Chris and is a full time mom to sons James (3) and Isaac (1).

Elmer Feliciano
Trumpet

Elmer Feliciano began his musical journey in the third grade when he joined the city band program in Yauco, Puerto Rico. In the early 2000’s, Mr. Feliciano moved to TN where he continued his music education in the MNPS school system. Mr. Feliciano holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in music education from Kent State University. While at TSU, Mr. Feliciano was a member of marching band program, the Aristocrat of Bands, and the wind ensemble. Mr. Feliciano has also performed with local TN bands such as “Jonesworld” and “Stoopid Kool”. As a music educator, Mr. Feliciano served as assistant band director and drill writer for the Hunters Lane Human Boombox for 5 years. Currently, Mr. Feliciano has been the band director for the McMurray Middle School Musical Machine since August of 2020. Mr. Feliciano is also a founding member of the Nashville African American Wind Symphony.

Tara Johnson
Horn

Tara Johnson is a freelance horn player in the Nashville area. Originally from Hudsonville, Michigan, Tara began her studies in french horn at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. From there she moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in Horn Performance, with a minor in Music Business. Tara earned a Master of Arts in Music degree in Horn Performance from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012, where she studied with Angela DeBoer. Currently, Tara is an Adjunct Instructor of Music at Belmont University, teaching Horn and Aural Skills courses. She maintains a private studio of horn students across the Nashville area, and offers private tutoring in music theory and ear training. Tara performs as 2nd Horn of the Owensboro Symphony in Owensboro, Kentucky, and previously held the position of 2nd Horn in the Evansville Philharmonic in Evansville, Indiana. Additionally, she has performed with the Nashville Symphony, the Huntsville Symphony, the Chattanooga Symphony, the Jackson Symphony, the Memphis Symphony, and has been a member of the Music City Horn Quartet. She has taken her horn playing to China with the Hollywood Film Orchestra, and to other parts of the world such as Israel, Romania, and Hungary. She can also be heard on several soundtrack recordings for movies, video games, television shows, and more, recorded in Nashville at Ocean Way Studios. She resides in Lebanon TN with her husband, son Quinn, and one-eyed dog, Liam.

Garen Webb
Low Brass

Garen Webb is an active educator and performer in the Nashville area. He enjoys working with multiple band programs where he teaches brass sectionals and private lessons. As a trombonist, Mr. Webb has performed all over the country with a variety of bands and artists. Mr. Webb also spends a lot of his time in the choral world, as he is a co-director of SONUS, a modern a cappella choir based out of Nashville, TN. Mr. Webb holds a bachelors degree in music education from Trevecca Nazarene University where he studied with Bill Huber, one of the premier trombonists in Tennessee

Tim Hale
Percussion

Tim Hale is the percussion specialist at Riverdale High School.  He is one of the top percussion instructors in the area and is endorsed by Innovative Percussion.  He has served as a drumline instructor and percussion clinician throughout Tennessee, Florida, New Mexico, and California. 

Mr. Hale is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and has studied with Mike McIntosh, Lalo Davila, and Eric Johnson. He has performed with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and the Nite Express Drum and Bugle Corps.
